Most printable dinosaur sets are twenty variations of one long necked shape. This one covers the actual range: a plated stegosaurus, an armoured ankylosaurus with a club tail, a triceratops frill, a spinosaurus sail, a pterodactyl in flight, plus the tyrannosaurus every child asks for first.
Ways to use these
- Say the name out loud. Dinosaur names are how a lot of four year olds discover they can learn long words. Name each one as you hand the page over.
- Sort them before coloring. Plant eater or meat eater is a real question children can answer from the drawing. Sort the printed pile into two stacks first.
- Make a wall strip. Print six, trim the margins and tape them into a band along a wall at child height.

Are they scientifically accurate?
Accurate in the features that matter for recognition: the plates, the frill, the club tail, the sail, the crest. They are not paleoart. Posture and skin detail are simplified so the shapes stay colorable, and none of them are feathered.
Is anything here frightening?
No. The tyrannosaurus is smiling, one dinosaur is at a birthday party and another is holding a flower in its mouth. Nothing is being hunted or eaten.
